Update to "Guilty For 9-11: Bush, Rumsfeld, Myers: Section 1"

As you may not be aware, the Andrews Air Force Base Website went down after 9-11 and now is back online.

A note appearing on the Website says it was last modified September 12th. However it was inaccessible from mid-September until it went back on line one or two days ago. [This article was posted November 18th, so "one or two days ago" means November 16th or 17th...]

The Andrews Website is important.

As we noted in "GUILTY FOR 9-11," it used to link to official US Air Force Web pages devoted to the 113th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard.

The 113th is based at Andrews AFB.

The WebPages that have been removed made it clear that Andrews had combat-ready fighter jets. This contradicts official claims about why fighter jets from Andrews were not scrambled on 9-11 before the Pentagon was hit.

One of the WebPages stated:

"Training for air combat and operational airlift for national defense is the 113 this primary mission. However, as part of its dual mission, the 113th provides capable and ready response forces for the District of Columbia in the event of natural disaster or civil emergency. Members also assist local and federal law enforcement agencies in combating drug trafficking in the District of Columbia." The link to this page is broken. We searched for but found nothing like it on the modified Website. Fortunately, you can still access the earlier, pre-9-11 version at archive.org. Just go to: http://web.archive.org/web/20010306223457/http://www.dcandr.ang.af.mil/113wing/pa/html/wg_units.html and scroll down a bit.

A related WebPage is devoted to the 113th Fighter Wing's parent, the DC Air National Guard (DCANG at http://www.dcandr.ang.af.mil ). It also seems to have been modified after 9-11 to remove statements indicating combat readiness.

Before 9-11, the DCANG WebPage included the following mission statement:

"DCANG MISSION

To provide combat units in the highest

possible state of readiness."

This page is still accessible in its pre-9-11 form, archived at:

Click on "Headquarters" and you should see it.
